Round Two Begins!
This will be a short round of just two months, good luck to everyone! A permanent leaderboard for round 1 will be up soon.
With one million cubic lightyears of space to explore, Space Freight is an enormous strategic RPG PBBG. The basic idea of SF is to buy spaceships and use them to amass a fortune. Starting with just one freight ship you need to expand your company and beat the competition.

Spacefreight is a game you play using just your standard web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, for example). You don't have to download anything and there are no plugins required. You only need to provide your e-mail address so we can send you a password to get you started. When you create an account and log into it you will be taken into a virtual world where you run an interplanetary transportation company. You need to decide when to buy more space ships, which cargo to transport, who to employ, who to fire.
Configure your ship to make money in a variety of ways. There are always new features being introduced into the game. Socialize by sending messages to other players, chatting in the chatroom or posting in the forum.
The decisions you make along with a little luck will affect your success. Will your strategy build up a muiti-billion credit freight company or will you go bust; the way you run your company will decide! Your company will have to compete with many competitors with a one million cubic lightyear galaxy.

| Aug 4, 2009 | There seems to be a slight error on some pages where you ship's name is displayed. I've located the error and will fix it soon. The problem is only the displayed name, if you assign a crew member (for example) it will be the right ship. |

There should be permanent round 1 leaderboard up soon and one for each future round. This round will end on the last day of September. |
| Jul 31, 2009 | New round starting on the first day of August! The game will be down for a while while the database is updated and testing is performed. After that the new round will start! |
| Jul 21, 2009 | Just a quick warning that a new round will be starting very soon. The plan is for the round to start on the 1st of August, but this isn't set in stone. Your money will be reset and ships will be lost etc. A permanent leader board will be added soon to show the round leaders. The forum is undergoing a clean up at the moment to remove older and irrelevant threads. |
